About me
Hi, my name is Ben Talley. I grew up on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and have since lived in every corner of the country, seeking out the best stories of those like and unlike me. Writing has always been a necessity to me, first as an escape, then as a way to understand all the things we do not understand about ourselves and the world.
Work
I mostly write genre fiction, skewing towards the darkness in horror to understand the potential for light, the possibility in science fiction to envision a better future than the one in front of us, the boundlessness of fantasy to find value in the imagination, and the impurity of romance to highlight the importance of connection.

My CV
I’ve written a variety of short stories, novellas, and novels, many of which are currently under review by various publications. In addition, I have worked as a proofreader, ghostwriter, screenwriter, and video game scriptwriter.
In the past, I have held roles as a bookseller and librarian at various locations across the country.
I’m currently based in New York.
